What We Believe
At the heart of Christianity are foundational beliefs that define the faith and guide the lives of believers. Here are the core Christian beliefs embraced by Mt. Pleasant Community Church and Christians around the world:

Belief in One God
Christians believe in one sovereign God who is the creator of all things. God is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present.

The Trinity
God exists as a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons, yet one in essence, co-existing in perfect unity.

Jesus Christ as the Son of God
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught about God's Kingdom.

Salvation through Jesus Christ
Humanity is separated from God due to sin. Salvation is a gift from God, granted through faith in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again to atone for our sins

The Resurrection
The belief that Jesus was crucified, buried, and on the third day, He rose from the dead. His resurrection conquers death and offers eternal life to all who believe.

The Bible as the Word of God
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. It serves as the ultimate guide for faith, conduct, and doctrine.

The Second Coming of Christ
Christians anticipate Jesus Christ's return to earth to establish His Kingdom fully, bringing justice and restoration.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit dwells within believers, guiding, comforting, and empowering them to live according to God's will.

The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, a community of believers united in faith, worship, and mission.

Baptism and Communion
Observance of sacraments like Baptism and Communion as outward expressions of inward faith and obedience to Jesus' commands.

Love and Moral Living
Christians are called to love God wholeheartedly and love others as themselves, living lives characterized by integrity, compassion, and holiness.

Eternal Life
Belief in life after death, where believers will experience eternal fellowship with God in heaven.
